No one expected this, including sixteen-year-old Evander Calloway. He wakes up one day, only to find himself trapped on a deserted island, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

He was alone, and needed to survive off coconuts and pure instinct. Evander didn't know much about surviving in the wilderness. But after all, what teen spends their spare time studying wilderness survival? Definitely not him.

After what feels like weeks and all sense of hope is abandoned, a ray of light shines through for him. Lane Archer appears out of nowhere, sharing his knowledge of nature and providing help in the boys' survival.

The two boys become close, even becoming best friends. But Evander finds himself wanting to be more than friends. All of this happens as Evander's mental state spirals, and the confusion is too much. Surreal moments take place, real-life glitches that definitely don't fall under the category of "normal."

Evander is struck by the rarity of the situation: these kinds of things don't happen to everyone.
