The Lost Memory

One night, while chasing her nephew's cats into the woods, Patricia stumbled upon something she was never meant to see. In the darkness, a man was being strangled by another.

She didn't hesitate ,she turned and ran for her life.

"That's sad... a young chick, aren't you?"

The assassin's whisper brushed against her ear as he grabbed her by the nape of her neck while she struggles for her life.

Before he could do anything more, a heavy rock struck him in the back of the head.

The man who had been strangled had fought back. He didn't stay to finish the job he simply ran.

Patricia stood frozen, her mind racing, unsure what to do next.

"Listen," a voice said coldly.

"I don't like disobedience, and I don't like stupidity."

A white-haired scientist stepped forward, his hollow black eyes fixed on her.

Assassins surrounded her on all sides.
"You will keep him in your house. Until he wakes up and until we catch the one who did this you're free."

He moved a chess piece ,a horse, across the board with quiet precision.

"You'd better not let him die," he added.

"He's my favorite piece."

After one year and three months of living peacefully, Stanley Synder [the assassins] woke up from his coma but with no memory.

But know one thing, Patricia is his my fiance.
