Synopsis

At twenty years old, Lee Jaeyung is an ordinary university freshman whose life changes overnight when his girlfriend, Yunah, tells him she is pregnant.

While Yunah sees the pregnancy as a mistake that will destroy their future and wants an abortion, Jaeyung desperately begs her to keep the baby, promising to take full responsibility. But instead of support, he is met with hatred and rejection. Yunah's family blames him for ruining her life, and his own parents, ashamed of him, eventually throw him out of the house.

After endless arguments and emotional pressure, Yunah agrees to carry the baby-but only on one condition: once the child is born, she will leave and never become a mother. The baby will belong solely to Jaeyung.

Determined to prove himself, Jaeyung sacrifices everything. He finds a small apartment, works three jobs a day, and studies late into the night while caring for Yunah throughout her pregnancy.

When their daughter, Chaemin, is finally born, Jaeyung is overwhelmed with love at first sight. But Yunah walks away without even looking at the baby, leaving him alone in the hospital as a single father.

Now abandoned by nearly everyone, Jaeyung must survive the harsh realities of adulthood-poverty, loneliness, exhaustion, and fear-while raising Chaemin and giving her the love he never received himself.
