Astrid returns to San Isidro for work, not to stay.

As a heritage assessor, her job is to evaluate which parts of the town should be preserved: old buildings, public spaces, and places that still matter to the community. She believes not everything old should be replaced.

Steve arrives with a different mission.

He is the architect heading the town's redevelopment project, responsible for redesigning multiple areas across San Isidro. For him, change is necessary, even if it means letting go of the past.

At first, their connection is strictly professional.
