New Beginnings

Oliver Hill is slowly breaking. His mother's most recent promise of sobriety and a fresh start is already falling through, and their recent move to California has left him floundering, caring for his younger sister and brother while also juggling school and money trouble. If he can just keep it together, keep himself from shattering into millions of pieces for a little longer, maybe he'll be alright.

His new life in Cali has brought many issues. A new school, new people, and new places to understand leave Oli scrambling for stability. But most of his problems are centered around one boy.

Gabriel Callahan is the embodiment of sunshine and ocean sounds. He is funny, kind, and has the brightest smile Oli has ever seen. Gabriel is determined to grow closer to Oli, but Oli cannot afford to fall for someone so full of promise and hope. He knows not to trust something so comfortable. The universe wouldn't allow for such an amazing thing to happen to someone as unfortunate as him.

But Gabriel is nothing if not persistent, and Oli is finding it harder and harder to ignore this beautiful boy and the discoveries he forces Oli to make about himself as they grow closer.
