The One I Can't Have written by lovefromwren Lanie Jane Thornton is only in the Outer Banks for the summer. She's here to stay with her aunt, hang with her cousin Topper, and figure out if she actually wants to apply to college in Charleston... or just get the hell out as soon as possible. She's not looking for friends. She's definitely not looking for a boyfriend. But the second she locks eyes with Rafe Cameron across a crowded party, everything shifts. He's reckless, dangerous, and exactly the kind of trouble her family warned her about. She's bitchy, territorial, and has zero patience for anyone who gets too close, especially guys like him. They start as strangers. Then somehow... they become friends. Until Topper's mom finds out. Now Rafe is completely off-limits. Her aunt has made it crystal clear: stay away from him. He's a bad influence. He's poison. And Lanie has enough issues of her own (the kind she keeps buried deep and never talks about) without adding Rafe Cameron to the list. But some rules were made to be broken. Because the one person she's not allowed to want... is quickly becoming the only one she can't live without. Summer just got a lot more complicated.

Sloan DiLaurentis didn't mean to find a home in Briar's hockey house. But somewhere between the midnight kitchen conversations, shared hoodies, and Beau Maxwell showing up at her door every night asking to cuddle, the house-and the people inside it-started feeling like hers. Beau was never supposed to be more than harmless flirting. Except now he knows her coffee order, sleeps better beside her, and looks at her like she's his favorite thing in the world. And Sloan's starting to realize she might feel the same way. Too bad keeping secrets in a house full of hockey players is almost impossible. Especially when everyone already knows they're in love. Everyone except Dean.
