Hazel Burne has had a pretty decent, normal life. She went around her school unoticed, and untouched (which was good for her; she wasn't a people person.) She had one close friend named Selma who was the same as Hazel. Hazel was a bookworm, but not a nerd. She wore contacts, but her hipster looking glasses on weekends. She had no special qualities, (except that she could finish a book in a day or so,) and she looked pretty much like an average teenager. Her acne has been long gone, her pixie cut hair always an untidy mess, and always had a book in her hand.

Hazel Burne was just a typical girl, untill Wes Darren moved to her block. He wasn't strange, or extremly outlandish, but he kept to himself. He knew things about Hazel that she now questioned. Was she who she thought she was? Did Wes know too much about her to be more than her neighbor? What was her life to become now? She must figure all of these questions and more if she is to make in to her 18th birthday. Who can she trust? Where will she end up? What will she become? That is for you to read as Hazel Burne figures these questions out...
