Night Fall: King of Shadows.

After Thomas Carter meta-human abilities manifested, turning his body into a living shadow that burned in light. However his parents were approached by Simon Stage, who was willing to give him a suit in exchanged for some light testing. His parents declined, but where shot dead in front of him. before he was kidnapped and experimented on, until one experiment went wrong, allowing Thomas to escape with the suit. Shortly after he begin to raid and break into Stage buildings, building evidence to show the world Stages true face. Failing as the evidence went missing. Until he was taken in by batman as Night Fall, the King of Shadows and Batman's partner.
