"can't nobody compare to you, girl." he said, rubbing his thumb against her soft hands. she moved her eyes up towards him slowly, checking his eyes for deceit. when she found his words believable, she swallowed. she bit her lip and looked up at the feeling of her eyes watering. his jaw clenched as he held back his own tears. he exhaled before continuing his loving speech, "i don't mind waiting on it for you, baby." her lips formed a subtle pout, "really?" he watched the tears travel down her plump cheeks. he nodded seriously, "i'm not playing 'bout you." there wasn't another response from neither of them. she melted at his touch, while wrapped up in his care for her. he kissed her forehead and whispered, "i'm gon' show you how worthy you are of love."
