Ashes Falling

After the Great War, Zuko assumed his birthright after Ozai was dethroned and imprisoned for life. The Avatar was killed in the Avatar state breaking the cycle and leaving the world lost.

8 years later, as the new Firelord, Zuko struggles to maintain peace among nations after spending so long broken apart. After a string of rebellions and uprisings, the Firelord has gradually tightened his grasp on all the nations.

The nations feel trapped; their every move is watched. Every shipment in or out is inspected. Harsh security and curfews are enforced. The Fire Nation has taken control of all resources. The nations are more separate than they were even during Ozai's rule.

Katara travels the world on a special healer ship. She leads a small group of healers as they travel nation to nation, cleaning up the fires started by the fire nation guards and healing wounded dissenters. Any comradery the healer and the Firelord once felt for each other is long gone.
