#2: Plagued Thunder

Bramblepaw doesn't know what she wants to be. On one paw, Redpetal is a tolerable mentor and being a warrior was somewhat fun, but on the other, medicinal herbs, and the knowledge they hold, were much more interesting. But as the days go by, and Redpetal gets increasingly frustrated by Bramblepaw's dreaminess, trouble with focusing on things she finds uninteresting, and scatterbrained behavior, Bramblepaw comes to the conclusion that Leafwish, and the general role of being a medicine cat, would be far more understanding to her problems, and allow her nonchalance, if not outright apathy, to Clan boundaries to be seen as a different way of thinking instead of disloyalty or cowardice.

Meanwhile, Brownfur reappears in a dream of Bramblepaw's, warning that the sickness was near to pouncing on ThunderClan. Bramblepaw must not deal with the weight of the prophetic warning, and mentally prepare herself for the blow, only hoping that she, or anyone she loved, won't catch the illness.
