After one violent night leaves her with nowhere else to go, Elena Loren ends up riding with a group of outlaws she never planned to stay with. What begins as a temporary arrangement slowly turns into something harder to walk away from.

Camp life, bad decisions, jobs gone wrong, and too many long nights on the road pull her deeper into the gang's world - and closer to Arthur Morgan, long before either of them become the people they are in 1899.
