Cloths of Heaven

Seren doesn't belong in this world, although she didn't belong in her old one either.
She knows how the story ends, the way the cards are stacked and the way the chips will fall, but she cannot resist trying. Seren is awkward, too formal, too aware in a painful way that she cannot help.

Daryl Dixon is a surprise to her. She knows his character, his story, but not the man himself. He doesn't ask her to change.
Doesn't question the way she speaks, the way she thinks-
doesn't look at her like she's wrong. He just... understands.
