A mysterious, enclosed world called the "Glade" exists behind towering stone walls that no one has ever managed to escape, or has at least known how to.... Boys are sent there one by one, every month. Each and every one of them arriving with no memory of who they are or where they came from. Everything changes when not one...but two girls arrive in the Box. For the first time ever, the Glade is forced to face the impossible...the rules may change, or may not. And some? Are not happy about it. The first girl subject A32 wakes up alone, disoriented and terrified, with no memory of her identity. When the Box opens, she's met by a group of shocked boys, including a young boy that goes by the name Newt, a calm, gentle leader in second command with a quiet charm, and then Minho, sharp tongued in sarcasm and very observant. The fact that she is a girl sends confusion through the entire Glade, something unheard of in their controlled little world. A few months later, a second girl arrives equally as lost as how the first girl was. With the Maze still changing beyond the walls and tensions rising inside the Glade, the arrival of the girls may be the key to everything or the beginning of its collapse And none of them are ready for what this so called Maze is really and truly hiding.
