Amelie Lacanilao is not even perfect on paper. Despite her loving parents, and good friends she doesn't see often, she struggles with focusing in classes with all the nerves she's having and the teasing is getting to a point where she can't tell whether it's banter or bullying. Whilst she isn't one to hide or shy away from something she can control, when a new challenge at Dunstable Community School pops up, she decides to chalk herself up to the challenge and climb higher heights. And something even better results from it: the accidental meeting, and huge but sweet plot twist, of Crispin Arellano. And trying to helping him to find the girl who accidentally gave him the wrong number.

Cris is a great kid, sports player, student and friend - except for the fact he can't visualise things in his head at all; and well, his bionic leg. Aphantasia shouldn't really be much of a bother for him, but it does even more so when he has to attend all these mindfulness sessions, and his teachers are asking way too much about what he pictures himself doing in the future. Never mind dealing with coaches and family and stress he isn't sure how to relieve. And when the swimming pool isn't open during free period or he needs a good nap, Crispin's only salvation is the little reading nook in the school's library. Until a girl starts taking up the space every day, too.

He's dedicated. She's considered deplorable sometimes. But, they might just be quite doting to one another.
