Welcome to Long Beach! A beautiful city known for it's wonderous beach and excellent atmosphere, but to the new freshman of LBHS (Long Beach High School), it's anything but. Summer's all over and with the school year just beginning, two crews erupt from their ever so popular lives ready to hit freshman year by storm. In the game of survival of the fittest, only the popular can strive to stay above the rest with hopes of claiming their own spotlight. The city is swarming with secrets, boyfriend snatchers, and enemies from all sides. So, who do you trust? Follow the students as they try to grasp onto the tip of the social totem pole and fight to stay there in the first installment to The Shore, and remember secrets never make friends.

Dylan has three best friends who help her get by. The only three people she 100% trust and doesn't like to. They all have their own problems and lies they tell, but they help each other through it all. Especially her boyfriend Vince, who would do absolutely anything for her.
