When two university students, Kenji Suzuki and Jose Rodriguez, meet each other during a time in life where certain cultures couldn't be compatible with each other to avoid discrimination and family dramas and being something else other than straight was prohibited, usually met with intense punishment. Kenji Suzuki, coming straight from Tokyo, Japan, where the Asian culture in general are hard and strict on their kids to pursue their dreams and goals unwillingly set in place, and being gay wasn't allowed or accepted, unlike Jose Rodriguez who comes from Tijuana, Mexico, your typical Hispanic guy, doesn't care about expectations or regulations, but more focused on being carefree, picking what lifestyle he wants to live and being gay was accepted wholeheartedly and celebrated whenever someone came out. Jose eventually meets Kenji Suzuki for the first time, only to later find out he transferred from Tokyo, Japan, yesterday afternoon. Intrigued and captivated by Kenji's ethereal appearance and his thick but soft Japanese accent, he attempts to socialize with him. But is met with resistance and forced annoyance. Being the social butterfly Jose is, he does anything and everything to know Kenji and befriend. As the story goes on, you will understand both characters views, read their perspectives not on what they see but how they feel about each other and their own feelings, get glimpses into their lives, how they overcome certain obstacles such as acceptance, self love, family resolutions, and more.
