But when a string of bizarre local disappearances begins to sync up with a rhythmic, distorted signal buried in their server logs, they realize the internet has tapped into something ancient and cold.
​As a digital plague begins to drain the will to live from everyone around them, the two hackers find themselves tracked by "The Echo"-a presence in the static that doesn't just want to be seen; it wants to be let in.
