In a magical world, where all sorts of things can happen, have kept human society in a medieval era for quite some time. But within this era, a legend is about to rise, for this is a story of a young woman named Diana, who will be known for facing her greatest challenge. Self love. For many years she had not felt loved as she had been raised as a tool, and this made her push her own emotions to the side as she was trained to be a knight of the nation, as well of being the next heir to a generational story of wealth. As she is left with the family heirloom, she finds herself within conflict, for a lingering feeling of freedom has been on her mind. Will those she admits assist her in achieving freedom, or will they also trap her in the same karmic cycle she seeks to escape? This is what the legend is about, as she takes a chance to trust the pure hearted for guidance, so she can finally feel free and be acceptance of her own self-care. Estelle thought she could escape this life forever. The poker table. The danger. The shared cigarettes with her favourite boy. The gaze those ocean eyes used to fix themselves on her like she was prey. But to Noah... she meant far more than that. She saw her little life as perfect for a while. She loved those flowers filled routines and those warm meals she used to cook for her husband, Theodore. Or at least she tried to convince herself she would. But despite all this security, peace could never last in a village haunted by unsolved crimes, buried bodies and loud memories that refuse to stay dead. The thrill still lingers deep in her soul, despite those nine years that passed. When Noah comes back into her life, she suddenly finds herself yearning for everything she once lived. But ran away out of pure fear... But is there truly any way to go back now? The line between love and betrayal becomes extremely thin. Memories cling to souls that seemed cured. And Estelle gets proven that once you recover from a disease, it doesn't make you immune to it. Because love shouldn't feel like an easy task everyone could complete. Especially not at the poker table. Love should burn a little. Just like crime always did.
