Onslaught Awakening

The Onslaught Saga introduced one of the most powerful ideas in X-Men history and lost it to scale, spectacle, and editorial mandate. This reimagining restores the original concept of the 1990's Marvel event, rebuilding the story as a single, cohesive narrative centered on the psionic entity Xavier and Magneto created and could not control.

Born from the combined, suppressed negative emotions of Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto, Onslaught is a powerful sentient psionic entity. Pushed to his breaking point, the entity was created when Xavier used his telepathic powers to shut down Magneto's mind after he ripped the Adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton. Magneto's anger, grief, and vengeance-fueled psyche merged with the dark, repressed frustrations Xavier had held for years, resulting in a new, malevolent personality growing within Xavier's mind.

Instead of the colossal, armor-clad machismo warlord of the original saga, this fanfiction presents Onslaught as a young girl who adopts the name "Sara" Onslaught, an identity based on the memory of Jean Grey's deceased sister.
