THE GREAT WAR stands the most remembered event within Vaeloria. With numerous lines and dragons wiped out- only the strongest of dragon riders managed to bring harmony and peace after the damage caused by The Damned. With knowledge of a second prophesied Great War, the older generations of warriors knew they had to be ready. And so they created 'The Citadel', a military institute to train only the strongest of riders, calling upon them to serve their realm with bravery and ready themselves to serve. Generations later, the story takes focus on a rider; KHARYS VELKRAVEN, princess of the realm. Once a prodigy, after an accident that left her bonded to a new dragon- a freak of nature as they claimed- she fled from The Citadel. She disappeared alongside this new dragon with no words, leaving behind her legacy, friends and betrothed. Captured a year later with the risk of punishment for she and her dragon- lies were spouted and tales told, ones that saved her life. Forced to return to the Citadel by ruling of the council, things have changed. With a new bond and new abilities from her dragon, Kharys must make it through the year while observing the changes around and the growing pang in her chest that something dark is arising, closer than expected.
