Sam learned early in life that love always leaves. As a child, all he ever wanted was attention and affection from his family but instead, he was called childish and misunderstood. That was the moment he promised himself he would never be "weak" again. He grew up closing his heart, becoming cold, distant, and heartless toward others especially girls. But love still found him once. At twelve, he met a girl who changed everything. They grew up together, sharing innocent love and childhood promises. But just like everything else in his life, she left too. At sixteen, he tried again. This time, it hurt even more. Betrayal, lies, and heartbreak turned him completely cold. He decided he would never fall in love again. Until he met her. A girl who was nothing like the others. She didn't admire him, didn't fear him, and didn't care about his reputation. She argued with him, challenged him, and annoyed him in a way no one else ever had. And somehow, that made her different. He didn't know why, but for the first time, Sam wanted to know someone again. And even when she rejected him... He never truly gave up. Because sometimes, the coldest hearts don't stay frozen forever.

But her dreams slowly shattered when Marx Gian Hernandez, the school principal's son, became her classmate in highschool. Always being second to Marx, Sarisa was determined to steal the top spot before graduation comes--even staging a public love confession and pretend to have a crush on the one person she hated just to distract him.
