The story continues the Nova Drift Universe during Kati Anusic's two-month break from Zanishan hover-class racing, as she steps away from the elite, high-velocity circuits of Zeshan Zaniri alongside her partner Aura, a native of that world. Seeking something different, Aura proposes a trip to a small, low-profile town in the United States where underground street racing thrives far from regulated systems and advanced technology. What begins as a break from professional competition becomes an immersion into a raw, illegal racing scene where instinct, mechanical feel, and risk matter more than structured leagues or precision-built hovercraft systems. As Kati adapts to the raw, grounded reality of Earth street racing, she isn't learning something new so much as adjusting a different environment to the same elite instincts she already possesses, while Aura- already experienced in illegal racing long before they met- moves through it with familiar ease. Together, they navigate rivalry, danger, and precision in a world where the rules are looser but the stakes feel just as real, and their bond continues to deepen under pressure without needing to be spoken aloud.
