Sure, maybe Claire Dunsworth was a little overexcited at her new job as a Detective at the Mage Police Force of New York City, but was that really just cause for sending her back to Mage Island for a time? Truth be told she couldn't complain too much as she did break some rules but the time away also allowed her to redefine her roots, especially since some new magic doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. When she does get back to the MPF things are...awkward between her and her partner Detective Raven black, to say the least, but they have no time to dwell on it as the crimes of the city don't sleep. Claire finds some balance between her work and personal life but is quickly thrown as she discovers a past she had no idea about. Not only does she have to face this life that certainly explains her...peculiarity but she also has to face a world that soon learns what she is.
