Ashton City is a place full of crime and violence. The world is falling apart, but the only person who seems to notice is sixteen year old Aster Disly. She can see all of the problems going on and she wants it to change. First, she'll have to rid her city of the corrupted, then the world.

One confrontation in particular goes much too far, resulting in Jay's expulsion from school. Every city has its claim to fame and for the city of Cytropolis it's their superheroes. But unlike the cities of Gotham and Central City, this isn't a good thing.
