She Got A Season, I Got His Heart

Every summer feels endless until suddenly it isn't.

Augustine thought this would finally be the summer James looked at her the way she'd always looked at him. And for a little while, he did. Late-night drives, saltwater kisses, tangled sheets, beach bonfires - James made her feel wanted in a way nobody else ever had.

But summer romances have expiration dates.

Because no matter how much James cared about Augustine, there was always Betty. Sweet, beautiful Betty. The girl waiting at the end of every fight, every bad decision, every version of James that lost his way.

Told through shifting perspectives, She Got a Season, I Got His Heart is about growing up by the ocean, wanting people who can't fully choose you, and learning that sometimes love isn't enough to stop someone from hurting you.
