safe & sound (joel miller)

This new world is a game of survival. Not much different than the old world, but instead of taxes and rent, it's infected monsters growling around every corner and the inability to trust anyone that comes your way.

You've made your peace with dragging along, waiting out the days until you finally succumb to the sweet taste of death. But when you accidentally get fucked over during a business deal and end up on an unfortunate road trip with old (not) friends and some random kid, you're not sure what to think or how to handle this sort of situation.

But it'll be fine, right? It's just delivering the kid, making an exchange for some goods, then back to your miserable life. Back to living the dream. All you have to do is deliver the kid, safe and sound.

Easy peasy.
