You were never supposed to read these. The voicemail replayed after the funeral because nobody knew how to delete it. The apology saved in drafts for three years and never once sent. The text marked unread because answering meant it was real. The final conversation that sounded normal until it wasn't anymore. The "I made it home" message that was never true. Some messages were ignored. Some were kept like relics. Some were the last thing anyone ever had of them. And some were never meant to be read for the last time.
