Let me introduce you to Malaysia Carter, she recently moved to Atlanta, Georgia with her family for her father's new job. She wasn't exactly excited about the move until she got used to it over time. She eventually made friends and even took liking to a boy. But there's one problem- her parents would never approve of such a boy. Meet August Mitchell, growing up on the rough side of Atlanta, Georgia he had a hard life. With a mother strung out on drugs and a father nowhere to be found he basically raised himself. After his mother gets locked up for prostitution he has nowhere to go...but his rich uncle's house on the other side of Atlanta. What happens when he meets a beautiful girl named Malaysia but her parents would never approve. Will they let their parents stop them? Or will they follow their hearts?
