Road Too Long

Leon Briggs, an explorer, was searching for an artifact meant to heal any illness or disease but when he was digging into the ground in a foreign area, a toxin was released. He unknowingly consumed it and went home to his family as he promised. After a few days of being home, he started to get more pale, but he just figured it was because of the winter season as well as stress from his journey. A week later and a day before he was starting his trip back up, he was very pale, his skin was bruised and almost transparent, and there was a hole in his throat. He fully turned into a zombie after coughing up blood. It was spread to his wife after she was trying to help him and he coughed blood into her mouth, starting the spread of the apocalypse. Now viscous zombies wander around looking to kill, with a horrible screeching noise due to the hole in their throat. A group of teenagers unite trying to survive but also trying to find the artifact that started this all.

This story will be told from two different POVs from two different characters !!
