Can't stand you

Adina Okada had one rule: stay in control.
But Nathan Evans broke it once. And after that, he became the problem - because he keeps breaking it without even trying.

Adina thought she understood control.
Nathan thought he understood distance.

Then they were forced into the same space again and again, until distance stopped working and control started slipping.

She hates him.
But hate and control are starting to feel like the same illusion.
Because the more they pretend nothing is happening, the more everyone else starts to believe something already is.
And Adina begins to wonder what's more dangerous -
her letting her guard down, or him learning exactly where the walls around her are weakest.

They hate each other.
