"There was this girl at the station," Yoonchae sighed in irritation, "She would not stop staring at me the entire time I was waiting for my train to arrive."
Sophia set down her fork as her eyebrows furrowed. "What did she look like?"
"She had dark hair... But with bleach running through it. Streaks, I think. She looked maybe Chinese?"
The fork slipped from Sophia's fingers and clinked against the plate.
She knew exactly who it was, and the realization sat in her chest like a bomb. She looked at her sister again and knew that she was talking about her best friend.
