The Line | Jeongchan FF

The scent of lemon sherbet and sweet raspberries flooded his system, sickeningly sweet to a man who preferred the metallic, warm taste of blood.

He adorned his khaki uniform proudly- a disguise he'd worn for over a year now, hiding his true nature from the ranks.

The other- with his sweet scent- was a bubbly, strangely quiet boy, whose gaze seemed to suffocate those who trod too close- façade over façade-

A face built on lies and a smile that never reached the fox-like boy's eyes.

Both were worlds apart.
But they shared one thing in common.
Tucked away in the darkest corners of their hearts were terrible, painful secrets.

Secrets that were tangled together in an intricate web of lies- and a winding path-
Twisting and slithering like a snake, that dug its sharp fangs and let its poison seep into their skin.

Neither must fall-
Or the balance shall shift.

And then all secrets will be revealed through a collision of threaded fate-
The Line.
