I know love is not just a feeling. It is trust, kindness, patience, loyalty, acceptance, bravery, and honesty. Love is God. I thought that when there is love, there is God, and when there is God, there is forever. So I let my walls break down so easily for him-without hesitation, without thinking twice. Because I believed God was between us, guiding us every step of the way. But despite believing it would last forever, I still broke down. Because even with God leading us, love was not enough to make us stay, understand each other, or feel safe in one another's arms. Sometimes, when love feels too perfect, an unexpected problem comes and destroys everything. After everything, I began to question myself: Was love ever really enough to keep two people together? Is it worth loving and being loved by someone whose intentions were as pure and genuine as yours, when the foundation of that love was not strong enough to stay and say forever?
