Just off the coast of florida, on a small island, is a private labratory. Illegal mutations were made on humans untill they were discovered and the mutants were released. The mutants continued to reproduce and were scattered across the globe. Lisha is one of the rarest mermaids and is tired of being protected; she wants to use her legs too, so she goes to the surface. Jace is a wolf shifter and is tired of the government, so he leaves his pack to start an uprising: that's when he meets Lisha. Carson is a psychic hired to hunt rouges (the group rebelling against the government). Louis is an elemental who becomes rouge, but then decides to spy on the rouges for the government. A hunt for rouges begins, and soon, the mutants are on the brink of a war with themselves.
