It wore the shape of a crewmate the way a corpse wears a smile - stiff, hollow, wrong in tiny ways the mind noticed before the eyes did. Its visor reflected no light, just a deep black sheen like oil over an endless pit. When it moved, there was no wasted motion, no human hesitation, only silent gliding steps that made the metal halls feel too narrow and too quiet.
