Years after the war, Hogwarts is finally rebuilding under Headmistress Minerva McGonagall and her eternally exhausted Deputy, Severus Snape. Peace should have returned long ago - unfortunately, Bellatrix Black McGonagall refuses to allow anything resembling normality.

Now living at McGonagall Manor with their wildly chaotic family, Minerva balances Ministry work, mischievous adult children, and Bellatrix's relentless affection with the same terrifying composure that still controls Hogwarts itself.

Their eldest son wrestles dragons in Romania, their second-born daughter is already married with children of her own - much to Bellatrix's horror at being called "Grandmother" - their youngest daughter is an Auror with a dry wit sharp enough to rival Minerva's, and the twins inherited far too much of Bellatrix and Sirius Black for anyone's safety.

Meanwhile, Severus Snape is one inconvenience away from faking his death permanently, and retired Albus Dumbledore continues appearing exactly where he shouldn't with tea, advice, and deeply unhelpful amusement.

At the centre of it all is Minerva and Bellatrix - discipline and chaos, restraint and recklessness - deeply in love after surviving a war, raising six children together, and somehow turning the most dangerous woman in Britain into an embarrassingly devoted wife.

Hogwarts may be restored.

But peace in the McGonagall household remains entirely impossible.
