Monroe King learned the power of words at an age where the biggest issues should have been good grades and if her feelings for a boy were reciprocated. Losing her twin brother, essentially half of herself, to people who didn't care about the way their words shaped themselves into jagged-edged knives and cut away at hope as if it were paper thin was a bomb that set the stage for the war that started within her and slowly spread out. Four years later, changed and with enough fighting experience to rival the local criminals, Monroe has her mind set on finding some semblance of peace (i.e. revenge) for both her and her brother. Levi Dane simply has the misfortune of getting caught in the crossfire. //super lovely cover credit to the-wounded
