Rookie of the Wind

Lyra is a modern-day doctor who one day woke up inside the world of her favorite fantasy game. A world that shouldn't exist. There, she meets her bias, Valir, the Grandmaster of the Knights of Ventus and the man she once longed for behind a screen. But now, Valir is no longer just a character. He is real, dangerous, protective, and far harder to keep at a distance than she expected.

The peaceful times, though, would soon come to an end. In their first mission, the Void, a corruptive darkness spreading through this world, finds her and begins hunting her, threatening not only her life but also the people who have taken her in. And the more she cares for them, especially Valir, the more she believes leaving may be the only way to protect them.

As Lyra searches for a way back home, she discovers that her arrival may not have been an accident, and Valir isn't going to be willing to let her disappear so easily. Not when he learns how she really feels for him.

Between two worlds, ancient secrets, and a darkness that knows her name, Lyra must decide whether home is truly where she came from... or the place where someone is willing to fight the laws of the world itself to keep her by his side.
