The Winter

Winter at Cranleigh was never supposed to feel this cold.

After everything that happened in the fall, Carter Williams thought distance, time, and a new semester would make things easier. Instead, life at Cranleigh only becomes messier. Relationships shift. Friendships deepen. Old wounds refuse to stay buried. And the people he thought he understood begin changing right alongside him.

Somewhere between late-night apartment conversations, road trips, hockey games, crowded parties, and the pressure of figuring out who they're becoming, Carter and the people around him are forced to confront a difficult truth:

Growing up means learning that love alone isn't always enough.

As winter settles over Cranleigh University, emotions run hotter than ever. Hearts are broken. Lines are crossed. New relationships begin to bloom while others quietly fall apart. And through it all, the North Side apartment slowly becomes less like student housing... and more like home.

Because sometimes the coldest seasons are the ones that change us forever.
