You've never had that good of a childhood. Your mother passed away in a fire when you were a toddler and the only thing you have to remember her by is her tapes and recordings that your father keeps. You never had a proper father either to make matters worse since your father, Edwin Murray, was always too busy for you. He focused on his projects, his "creations" over you. Edwin, knowing how lonely you were, wanted to make up for your lack of parental figures the only way he knew how...with robotics. He created a highly adaptive robot named the M.I.M.I.C. It was made to be your friend and to take care of you as best as it could. Edwin's grief was still there though and this "Mimic" was a reflection of it.
