Shadows
I'm so afraid. I haven't been able to sleep for some time now. They keep me awake. Every night they come from out the shadows and speak to me. Every night I can hear their laughter, their whispers. The shadows on the walls twist and churn as what lurks within them moves. Every so often I catch a glimpse of one of their too-wide smiles. The things they say to me are unspeakable. It is so wondrous. They fill my head with things I never thought possible. As I lay awake in bed at night, listening to them, I am afraid to hear them. I'm afraid, because I think I'm beginning to enjoy it more and more. I cannot wait until everyone else can hear them too. Until everyone can feel this bliss.Complete

(BOOK ONE) Ever feel like someone is watching you. You would lay in bed, in the dark and you can feel their eyes on you. Suddenly you hear footsteps walking closer to your bed and suddenly you can feel their warm breath in the back of your neck. You would hide under the covers hoping that you just imagine it, but then a hand brush against the covers. A scream escape your lips and you would wake up from the nightmare. Many people believe that the blind are only those who can't see. They are wrong. Everyone is blind, in one way or another. Blindness comes in many forms. Those who are blind to the evils of the world are blind to reality. Those who are blinded by beauty are consequently blind to the fact that it comes with a price. And those who are blinded by light are also blind to the notion that it is accompanied by shadows. And though I must admit that I, too, was not above being blind. I knew the shadows all too well.
