You speak of the devil as if he lives somewhere distant, hiding in shadows and waiting to steal souls, yet you fail to recognize the fear, hatred, pride, and cruelty he has already planted within you. You condemn others in the name of righteousness while feeding the very darkness you claim to fight. You call yourself holy, convinced you stand on the side of good, but evil does not always arrive with horns and fire. Sometimes it arrives through judgment, control, shame, anger, and the inability to love people beyond your own understanding. The greatest trick was never making the world believe the devil didn't exist. It was convincing people that darkness only exists in others, never within themselves.
