Lucy Chen,detective at Mid Wilshire and one of the best UC's in LA keeps to herself, barely anyone at the station knows anything about her and she tries to keep it that way. Lucy struggles a lot with her mental health but no one knows because she doesn't let anyone in,not even her sisters.
Angela Chen, oldest of the Chen sisters is also one of Mid Wilshires finest detectives who makes it her job to always be there for her younger sisters even if they push her away. Angela tries her best to be a good mom to her kids Jack and Emmy while also juggling be a good older sister, it can be a lot but she wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Tamara Chen, the youngest sister is a photographer who is very popular for her amazing work. She finds it hard to stay in the loop with her older sisters when they are always trying to protect her from everything even if she doesn't need it, but she tries her best and is the first one to notice Lucy silently struggling and tries to help her the best she can.
Tim Bradford, moves to LA after his world fell apart and is trying his best to overcome his fears of letting someone back in. Before he moved he was one of New York's best officers so he tries his best to stay up to speed and be just as great in LA as he was in New York. He struggles a lot too with his mental health and doesn't know how to handle it especially when he has no one left in his corner.
When Tim meets the Chen sisters he quickly becomes apart of their circle and he starts to think of them as family as they do him. The closer they get the more feelings build, when Lucy and Tim finally confide in each other they realize they have more in common then they thought and help each other get through their trauma and mental struggles together. Tamara and Angela both notice how close they started getting and just hope that whatever happens helps them both and doesn't destroy them.
