Mischief has always found a way to intertwine itself with twenty year old Ruby Dellamond.

It's her second season looking for a husband, and much to her mother's dismay, she's dead set on finding a love match. While her twin goes to visit their aunt and uncle over the summer, she's left in the hands of her troublemaking mother and her absentee father.

But not everything is as simple as attending balls and dancing with suitors. When a young man is found dead on the estate grounds of the most eligible bachelor in town, it sends the townspeople into a frenzy of indecision and uncertainty.
