Kemly is a 15-year-old Korean-Nigerian girl about to begin Grade 10 in Nigeria. Passionate about art and full of ambition, she tries to focus on building a better future despite the pain she carries inside. Her family life is far from perfect. Her father was abusive, her stepbrothers are absent from her life, and the twin brother who was supposed to be born with her died in the womb after her mother attempted an abortion during a difficult and violent period in her marriage. Kemly survives, but the knowledge of what happened haunts her. She constantly wonders: "Was I meant to live... or was I just the mistake that remained?" Trying to leave the past behind, she throws herself into school, art, friendships, and love. But high school brings new challenges - academic pressure, heartbreak, betrayal, family secrets, loneliness, and the emotional wounds she has never truly healed from. As each chapter of her life unfolds, Kemly must decide whether she will continue running from her pain... or finally confront it and discover who she truly is.......
