These Quiet Years

In a changing Dublin of glass offices, hollowed-out streets and old Georgian rooms with too many previous lives, Elliot takes a temporary job in a building that does not quite belong to the present.

At first, the disturbances are easy to dismiss: odd noises, vanishing figures, cold spots, memories that do not seem to be his. But as the ghosts begin to notice him back, Elliot is drawn into the hidden emotional architecture of the city - a place where grief lingers in doorways, history leaks through walls, and the dead are not the only ones trapped.

Part ghost story, part urban elegy, These Quiet Years is a novel about loneliness, work, queer longing, friendship, and the strange lives buried beneath ordinary places. It asks what happens when a city forgets its people and what it means to be seen by the things everyone else has learned to ignore. Chapter 1 coming May 13th 2026.
