When Júlia, a young woman from Rio de Janeiro devoted to Umbanda, dies in an accident, she awakens before a mysterious entity who offers her a deal: return to the world of the living. In exchange, she must defend a hidden kingdom in Rio de Janeiro, learning to control the magic of living allegories in order to protect it. As she struggles to master her new abilities and understand the forces surrounding her, Júlia also faces conflict at home. Her brother Lucas, an evangelical Christian, rejects everything she represents. But when long-buried secrets come to light, Júlia discovers that he is also part of this world, and that the fate of both siblings may be connected in ways neither of them could ever have imagined.
