Modern AU, where Jean is a 17 year old, who struggles with depression ever since he ran away from home after an argument with his mother about his sexuality. Marco, an 18 year old who works at Starbucks to help support his family. Marco helps him out after finding him beaten and bloody in the ally behind his workplace.
(I can't picture either of their canon mothers as homophobic, and the only reason I made Jean's mom homophobic was to add to the story.)
