"Okay class, pass your letters, insert your picture, and pass the letters! 1...2....3.."

"No! you should put it here!-" "That's my letter!--" "Pass it, quick!!"

I stood and watched my letter get passed to the teacher. I saw it join the bundle of letters from the hands of clumsy children making pen pal letters as a project. I thought of my picture there, me, in my 10 year old glory, with the endless sea behind me, being mailed across the world to someone I dont know.

Who would have thought that picture would bring him to me?
